Summary
Position Summary:
  • Conduct a variety of research activities related to the collection, organization, and analysis of data. Able to conduct independent research in consultation with the principal investigator and/or senior staff. Have experience and expertise in study design and collection and analysis of data. Knowledgeable about subject recruitment and retention, construction of data collection instruments and data bases, data analysis techniques and software, and preparation of findings for publication and presentation. Apply principles and methods of research to assist scientists in areas such as epidemiology, psychology, sociology, clinical research, statistics, decision science, health care utilization and outcomes research, evaluation research, community-based studies, intervention research, and secondary analysis of large data sets. Position availability is directly related to grant funding.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Education: Master's degree in a related field
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and independence above that of a Research Assistant III.
  • Skills should include the ability to use a computer and statistical software packages to collect, enter, and analyze data to report results.
  • Must have good organizational and personnel management skills, good project management skills, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Communication skills are sufficiently developed to present research results at regional and national conferences.
  • Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and a scientific acumen are required
