Summary

This position provides strategic HR support on HR functions to the leadership for all areas in the Research Mission Support - Advanced Technology Cores. This position will help develop staffing plans and processes across all of these areas.

Job Duties

• Develops staffing/workforce plans for the department, including oversight and preparation of the annual personnel budget for the department.
• Screens, interviews, and selects candidates, including offer communication and salary negotiation.
• Handles employee conflicts within department and partners with managers and Employee Relations on any disciplinary actions, terminations, RIFs, and employee retirement.
• Manages HR Analytics for the department and makes recommendations based on the data.
• Consults and advises departmental directors and managers on various employment issues.
• Works with Director Business Operations on financial impact of position changes.
• Oversees orientation of new employees - ensuring that new employees are set up for success.
• Oversees HR support positions to ensure accuracy and compliance in day-to-day transactions.
• Identifies/resolves compensation issues in department and manages compensation processes within department - promotions, merits, equities, etc.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of relevant experience.

• Strong organization and communication skills.
