JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Development Strategy and Program Management is responsible for driving the organization's long-term strategic growth and development initiatives. This role involves leading the creation and execution of high-impact strategies, overseeing complex program management, and ensuring alignment with the organization's overall mission and objectives. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future and ensuring sustainable success.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that are seamlessly aligned with the organization's overarching objectives, driving growth and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions, optimize processes, and achieve transformative outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of program managers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development.
  • Design and govern comprehensive project plans, meticulously managing timelines and budgets to ensure the successful execution of complex, multi-faceted initiatives.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and interdependencies, implementing robust mitigation strategies to ensure project integrity and continuity.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, ensuring the timely achievement of critical milestones and delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • Lead in-depth feasibility studies and develop compelling business case analyses to evaluate the viability and impact of new projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless alignment and comprehensive support for strategic initiatives across all departments.
  • Develop and implement advanced metrics to measure program success, providing insightful evaluations that inform decision-making and future strategies.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization and implement innovative process improvements, enhancing operational efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational agility.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 12+ years of experience in strategic planning, program management, or a related field.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Proven track record of leading successful strategic initiatives and programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the Cruise sector is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Auto CAD, Apple Mac) and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of organizational skills, flexibility, confidentiality, a team player, be capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with strategic planning tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
