Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordinating with various departments to gather data, analyzing inputs, and presenting the final budget to senior management
  • Monitor and update forecasts based on actual performance and changing business conditions
  • Identify and communicate any risks or opportunities that may impact the achievement of financial goals
  • Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, variances and potential business risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analysis to senior management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments and cost-saving opportunities
  • Evaluate and model potential business scenarios to guide decision-making processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial analysis function
  • Stay updated on best practices and industry trends to continually improve financial analysis and reporting processes

Senior Financial Analyst Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a corporate or healthcare environment
  • Strong experience with financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and present actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
