Job Description

The Senior Manager, Risk Management - Insurance Programs is a critical senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic vision, direction, and oversight for Insurance Programs tailored to meet the unique needs of Partner Ys. This position drives the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive individual and group insurance solutions that deliver maximum value and efficiency across the partner network. The Senior Manager serves as the primary architect and champion of Partner Insurance Programs, fostering collaboration, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and optimizing coverage and pricing to benefit all Partner Ys.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Insurance Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in insurance program management, with at least 7 years in a senior role within the non-profit, service organizations, or related industries
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing successful, innovative group insurance programs for diverse partner organizations
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance coverages, industry trends, regulatory compliance requirements, and risk management best practices
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and continuous improvement
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously


Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for YESS-Risk Management's Partner Insurance Programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, Partner Y needs, and industry best practices
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Partner Insurance Programs team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of tailored, cost-effective group insurance solutions that address the unique requirements of Partner Ys
  • Lead and cultivate strategic partnerships with brokers, carriers, and industry partners to negotiate favorable terms, optimize coverage, and secure value-added services for Partner Ys
  • Serve as a liaison between YESS-Risk Management, Partner Ys, and brokers, ensuring effective communication, claims management, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in insurance program offerings, leveraging data-driven insights, market intelligence, and industry trends
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations, company policies, and industry best practices for Partner Insurance Programs
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to align insurance strategies with YESS-Risk Management's overall risk management and operational goals
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance on insurance-related matters, serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
