Sr. Manager Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) - Remote.

The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Sr. Manager Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) with at least 17 years of experience to serve our diverse base of global clients. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of engineering strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage the portfolio of engineering projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Utilize expertise in Road and Intermodal Transportation to optimize transportation solutions.
  • Apply Transportation Management Concepts to enhance project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to stay on track.
  • Foster a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.

Required Skills:
  • 17 - 21 years of relevant experience in Portfolio & Project Management (PPM)
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $166,000 - $195,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
