Seattle, Washington
Employer: Amazon
Industry: Project/Program/Product Management--Non-Tech
Salary: $104100 per year
Job type: Full-Time
Do you have a passion for books? Do you want to take an active role in shaping the future of books on Amazon? As our original category, Books is at the heart of Amazon, and continues to grow and evolve. We believe reading is essential for a healthy society; our mission is to inspire readers by making it easy to read more and get more out of reading, and to be the place where authors and readers connect.
The Books Risk Management team ensures that books published on Amazon create a great customer experience and that authors and publishers abide by our terms and conditions. We are looking for a seasoned Trust & Safety professional to own a major area of risk in our bookstore. In this role, you'll become a subject matter expert on the various ways in which books become available for sale on Amazon, and use that knowledge to identify and then close gaps in policy and enforcement that could lead to poor customer experiences. You'll also be responsible for creating and then driving mechanisms to measure and track the success of policy changes designed to mitigate fraud, abuse, content violations, and disappointing customer experiences. You'll work with a wide variety of stakeholders across the Books team and beyond in order to ensure success, including Books business teams, Legal, Public Relations, Public Policy, Engineering, and Operations.
Critical skills for this role include a background in online Trust & Safety, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and experience managing and solving complex and ambiguous problems where multiple stakeholders play a role in delivering results.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in online Trust & Safety
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree
