Worldwide Public Sector Capture and Proposals org under Amazon Web Services is currently looking for a Strategy and Engagement Program Manager to support our internal teams and external teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and be driven to produce results. The candidate has a background in project management and operations and will have strong technical depth and business experience to easily communicate projects/programs to stakeholders. The ability to be influential and work cross-organizationally are a must. A successful candidate will have a keen sense of ownership, express bias for action and drive results.

The candidate should demonstrate the proven ability to:

- Develop new ideas and creative solutions.

- Meet tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and remain extremely organized.

- Work with cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities

- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track project performance, including but not limited to, spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

- Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of these programs/projects.

- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

- Manage project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical and operational feasibility. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time.

- Working directly with customers, sale teams, sales leaders, services/support teams, and AWS leadership teams - provide leadership, identify customer blockers/enablers, and close issues.

- Optimize existing processes and develop new scalable/repeatable processes.

- Building new/improving existing data reporting and processes. Report on monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline metrics and business forecasts.

- Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad hoc analyses.

- Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends.

- Ability to quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers.

- Demonstrated work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.

- Strong leadership and persuasion skills.

- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to travel up to 20%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services
