Administrative & Financial Associate

The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Administrative & Financial Associate with Business Analytics and Statistics. Pay Rate: $18.96/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5

Job Length: Approximately 2 months

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to review and accurately apply UT policies to all work activities, particularly financial and human resource related tasks, to maintain compliance.
  • Ability to establish and maintain respectful and effective working relationships with colleagues, at all levels.
  • Ability to gather relevant information from multiple sources and synthesize information to provide guidance through non-routine financial and human resource situations and resolve complex problems.
  • Excellent customer service, critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution, sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills that are effective with individuals from diverse backgrounds, environments and roles.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a high volume of work with multiple tasks in order to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Ability to enhance training through effective self-directed learning initiatives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft software applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams.


Administrative:

  • Oversee the floor.
  • Managing key and floor access.
  • Office mail and packages, facilities and maintenance requests.
  • Answering of phones, ring central and data ports.
  • Copier maintenance and copier reports.
  • Ordering of department supplies.
  • Conference room scheduling.
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the floor, conference room, and kitchen.
  • Assist faculty, student, and office visitors with inquiries.
  • Provide directions to work-study students.
  • Update department information lists and signage.
  • Maintain records management - paper and electronic.


Financial:

  • Handle all purchasing for department, faculty, and staff.
  • Process New Vendor Requests, Invoices, Petty Cash Reimbursements, Deposits, Non-Travel Card Charges/Reimbursements.


Other Job Duties:
