Description
The University of Chicago, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Academic Pediatrics seeks full-time faculty members at any rank who are focused on primary care pediatrics. The appointees will be experienced clinicians dedicated to the care of children and their families and have exceptional interprofessional skills. The appointees will also be collaborative physician leaders in a busy, dynamic environment, and advance the clinical, educational, and scholarly goals of the Section of Academic Pediatric Medicine. Our team is a nationally renowned, dedicated faculty group with a strong commitment to clinical care, medical education, and pediatric scholarship. We welcome individuals with experience in medical education and clinical or health outcomes research. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent on qualifications.
The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 171-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or Board eligible in General Pediatrics, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
