Responsibilities

The Office of Research in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is seeking a qualified applicant for a project coordinator position to assist with extramurally funded research studies on early literacy and language development in young children.

The Project Coordinator (PC) will coordinate all training and field-based project activities. The PC will supervise research staff, coordinate with Investigators and with project coordinator at sub-award site; and supervise of graduate students. Related to in field data collection, the PC will coordinate the consent process, data collection, scheduling, trainings, and dissemination and sharing of materials. The PC will develop and update manuals for data collection, scoring, data entry and training procedures. The PC will ensure secondary and tertiary scoring checks for reliability in coordination with the graduate assistant/data manager. The PC is also responsible for collaborating with the LDbase Repository to develop an infrastructure for data access and sharing. This is an in-person position.

Qualifications

Academic master's degree or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in education, psychology or related degree. At least 3 years of experience in field based research activities with children.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in field based research activities with children, including those with autism spectrum disorder. Leadership experiences in research activities Experiences administering a variety of assessments with young children. Experience interacting with the caregivers of child research participants.
