Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure that all written and electronic correspondence received in the Department is scanned and process accordingly.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Open mail, sort, and scan documents onBase including W/C and No-Fault correspondence
  • Search Epic for correct patient hospital/admission number for scanning into onBase
  • Process correspondence for distribution to other departments
  • Retrieve, print and sort correspondence from Receivables Edge
  • Photocopying, scanning, and faxing
  • Mail printed UB04 received from the Billing Department
  • Answer all internal and external phone calls and route to correct Department or employee
  • Separate and distribute all mail pertaining to Dental and Self Pay
  • Scan and identify Workers Comp and No-Fault correspondence to Vendor
  • Effectively use computer systems
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
