Job Description

Purpose:

This class of positions encompasses clerical related office activities utilizing manual and automated office systems; duties may include supervision of employees performing routine tasks appropriate to each assignment level. There are three assignment levels within the class of positions. The following are typical assignments within the class of positions. All personnel clerical level IV perform related work. Under supervision with latitude for independent judgement, performs one or more of the following.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Offers Administrative support to nursing staff.
• Performs clerical operations in an assigned area, such as the filing of materials and the searching of files for difficult to locate materials.
• Performs moderately difficult and responsible clerical work in maintaining and checking various kinds of records.
• Recording use of Implants on a daily basis.
• Responsible for monthly radiation badges distribution and collection.
• Collection of all necessary certifications and maintaining records.
• Answer screen, transfer inbound phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
• Schedule cases and confirm with surgeon's case time.
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory control.
• Revisions of staff scheduling in Clarvia.
• Coordinates on a daily basis with anesthesia on daily work flow.
• Checking provider privileges.
• Schedules monthly in-services.
• Performs duties in Nursing office for weekend coverage.
• Checks records of accuracy of information and for conformity with established policies and procedures.
• Serves as principal assistant to coordinating manager of a large section of unit.
• May perform incidental typing using a standard office computer, word processing equipment or other automated office systems.
• In the temporary absence of the Coordinating Manager, may perform his/her supervisory duties not in the excess of 30 work days or 210 hours in a calendar year.
• Participates in PI/Staff Development, Joint Commission and Infection Control activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.

• Good organizational and time management skills required.
