Job Description

Position Overview: This class of positions encompasses clerical related office activities utilizing manual and computerized office systems. Responsible for CBORD daily operation and menu reviews. Assists with coordination of units and café dining service/health care center communications. This position also provide access to residents' electronic health record to assist with the related tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate resident requests with the clinical team to ensure those residents nutritional needs are met.
  • Retrieve information from Point click/ EPIC on any diet order changes/re-admissions/admissions.
  • Assists with coordination of dining service/health care center communications.
  • Conducts Resident interviews during meal rounds.
  • Updates Resident Care and Communication Log & computer for all diet changes.
  • Responsible for C-BORD/Netmenu daily operation.
  • Documents in diet office Kardex and other record systems, manual and/or automated.
  • Update Dietitian requests/changes in CBORD/EPIC / Netmenu & Update Meal tickets/Labels.
  • Insert new/revised meal tickets & labels, deleting or updating changed diets, food items, etc.
  • Remove old tickets & labels.
  • Answer diet office phone.
  • Complete tray count form.
  • Input diet/nourishment's in computer.
  • Print & review resident tray cards/meal tickets & nourishment labels.
  • Organizes tray cards for tray line setup.
  • Follows up on diet changes during tray-line and dining room service.
  • Nutrition food exploration as assigned.
  • Conducts meal rounds as assigned.
  • Manages Coler café reservation system, menu files and perform the check-in duties.
  • Performs any other duties, as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and 2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.

Department Preferences

Diet office clerical experience and/or experience interacting with residents/patients, such as processing meal tickets; taking, processing, and delivering diet orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving residents' concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel and knowledge or ability to learn the following systems: CBORD/Netmenu/Geri-menu, Point Click Care, Epic.
