Job Description
1. Performs responsible clerical work in various administrative and operational areas by processing,
recording, checking, and maintaining records; files and invoices using alphabetical and numerical
procedures including data/control coding; furnishes information and prepares reports requiring the
selection of data from simple records or statistics.
2. Performs ordinary mathematical computations.
3. Checks records for accuracy of information and for conformity with established policies and procedures.
4. Operates a telephone call directory, multi-line phone, or switchboard.
5. Performs clerical operations in an assigned area, such as the filing of materials and the searching of
files for difficult to locate materials.
6. Performs data entry and retrieval using a personal computer, video display terminal, or other automated
office systems.
7. Performs routine data processing functions in the area of production control.
8. May perform incidental typing.
9. May supervise and instruct a small group engaged in the performance of data entry and retrieval
operations.
10. In the temporary absence of the supervisor, may perform his/her supervisory duties not in excess of 30
work days or 210 hours in a calendar year.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and performing related customer service activities.
Skills Requirement: Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at least 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute.
