The Opportunity...

We are seeking a Gang Intervention Specialist/Program Administrator 2 at DYS Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility located at 2775 Indian River Rd., Massillon, OH 44646

The Gang Intervention Specialist/Program Administrator 2 duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Completes Security Threat Group (STG) assessments and profiles on all youth upon admission.
  • Collects and inputs all STG information into JJCMS STG database.
  • Conducts rounds at least weekly to speak with youth.
  • Attends institutional activities where there are high levels of STG activity.
  • Reviews, monitors and analyzes data and outcome measures.
  • Submits reports on trends and STG findings.
  • Attends Interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, Roll call, and department head meetings to provide pertinent information.
  • Identifies and addresses barriers with facility staff to improve service delivery to at risk or STG involved individuals.
  • Serves as liaison to youth, families, and targeted communities.
  • Reviews, monitors, and analyzes youth mail and telephone calls.

Qualifications
4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
