BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may incorporate both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Formulates and implements internal employer operations management program policies to streamline administrative functions as it relates to all departments within the Employer Services Division and other special projects
  • Assists in project management role for Employer Services by tracking, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, timely service, and providing updates to the Chief
  • Researches and develops complex and/or sensitive reports, including compiling the department reports on a weekly basis
  • Facilitates the development of the annual fiscal budget for the division
  • Serves as Employer Services liaison for Human Resources, Fiscal & Planning, Budget, Facilities Management, Fleet Management,


Qualifications

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above

Supplemental Information

Knowledge of supervisory principles/techniques; business administration, management science or public administration; public relations; employee training & development; interviewing; public accounting. Ability to gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; deliver speeches before government officials & general public; write, letters, papers & reports; handle sensitive telephone & face-to-face inquiries & contacts with general public; interview job applicants to determine work best suited to them.

Salary Information:

Hourly wage is expected to be paid at step 1 of the pay range associated with the position for candidates who are new employees of the state. Current employees of the state will be placed in the appropriate step based on any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code. Movement to the next step of the pay range will occur after six months, assuming job performance is acceptable. Thereafter, an employee will advance one step in the pay range every year until the highest step of the pay range is reached. There may also be possible cost of living adjustments (COLA) and longevity supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.

Transportation:

Position may require travel; therefore, persons occupying this position must be able to provide own transportation &/or legally operate a state-owned vehicle.
