We have a gap that we need to fill with a contractor, likely for about 12 months with a potential for up to 18 months that wed look to staff out of the Central or Eastern US time zones. Its a relatively general Business Analyst role that will focus on our Risk Management systems. Ive copied some of the general accountabilities and skills/experience below. Principal Accountabilities and % of time:
1. Product Maintenance & Analytics (50%):
Supports existing product by answering questions and troubleshooting issues, attempting to find the root cause and escalating when required
Independently makes complex manual updates based on incoming requests as well as utilizing personal judgement to optimize product
Tracks and analyzes key metrics, summarizing insights and findings
Tests routine updates and enhancements to ensure necessary functionality continues to work and are user friendly
Monitors vendor developments and ensures that changes and availability are properly communicated

2. Manage Enhancement requests (40%):
Elicits requirements on small - medium sized requests, working with u to determine underlying request and potential solutions
Transform these requests into actionable work with user stories, process flow diagrams, and other supporting materials
Works with appropriate technical teams and third parties to complete these items, continuously communicating with key stakeholders

3. Develop Domain Knowledge (10%)
Utilizes domain knowledge and comprehensive system understanding to act more independently

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Practical experience in gathering and interpreting user needs, and defining, documenting and validating requirements
Quickly grasps new requirements, technologies, tools and concepts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs
Ability to problem solve and take initiative on multi-faceted projects/responsibilities

Experience;
- 1+ years professional experience

Education or equivalent:
Associate's/Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
