Phoenix Police Department's lnformation Technology Bureau seeks a Lead User Technology Specialist. The Lead User Technology Specialist position is a critical position supporting the Endpoint Management Team within the IT Bureau Police Department. This position will be responsible for:

  • Supervising members of the Unified Endpoint Management Team.
  • Providing third-level technical support requests related to Tanium, ServiceDesk, Workspace ONE, SCCM, and other systems managed by the UEM Team.
  • Working with software vendors to maintain systems managed by the UEM Team.
  • Ensuring end-user devices remain current with OS build and patch compliance.
  • Designing and preparing preliminary and long-range plans, estimates, and budgets related to the purchase and support of end-user devices.
  • Working with vendors to review equipment and software proposals to determine cost/benefits to the department.
  • Analyzing, documenting, and assisting with publishing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) relating to the management and support of end-user devices.
  • Providing information a.nd training to employees on new procedures, techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Advising department staff in technical hardware and software matters.
  • Determining the severity of after-hours/on-call emergencies and escalating to P1 (Priority 1) notifications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Knowledge of:
    • Windows OS, Mac OS, Android OS, and iOS Patch Management.
    • Scripting and computer language.
    • Cellular phone and service management.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Ability to:
    • Perform technical writing.
    • Manage projects.

SALARY

Pay Range: $86,590.40 to $121,825.60 annually.

Hiring Range: $86,590.40 to $110,510.40 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of professional level experience providing technical support for system infrastructure and/or software, plus one year working in a large-scale environment and supervising highly technical staff and a B achelor's degree in computer science, math, electronic systems engineering or a related technical field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
  • Experience with:
    • Supporting a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.
    • Windows Operating System (OS) Support.
    • Tanium, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or a related platform.
