Responsibilities

  • Provides mental health support and conducts assessments and evaluations for students grades K-12.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students across various grade levels. Completes essential IEP paperwork for evaluations, re-evaluations, and consultations. Collaborates with teachers and administration regarding academic concerns.
  • Provides on-site mental health support for students grades K-12. Creates personalized interventions to proactively address mental health concerns. Works with students and parents on coping skills and support strategies to ensure students' well-being.
  • Conducts behavioral assessments and develops behavior support plans. Assists with implementing strategies to promote positive behavior. Provides training to teachers in effective classroom management and facilitates conflict resolution. Collects data to monitor student progress and adjusts interventions as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records according to retention policies regarding services provided to students while maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate, Specialist, or equivalent graduate-level degree in psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure as a psychologist by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 490, Florida Statutes.
  • Florida Educators Certificate in School Psychology.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate Degree is preferred.
