Job Description
OFFICE AND PROGRAM COORDINATOR, MIT Professional Education (PE) , to coordinate and perform day-to-day operational activities for the MIT PE Office and its Educational Program teams. Will provide administrative support; perform complex duties in support of the executive director and director of finance, administration, and HR; and provide support for multiple programs and projects within PE. Responsibilities will include overseeing the work of the front desk and overall office administration; providing program support for all PE programs as needed, including program delivery logistics; collecting materials and assuring their timely distribution; assisting with expenditure budgets; negotiating contracts with vendors from catering to audiovisual services and printing of materials; generating specialized reports; participating in cross-functional project teams as needed; and planning and coordinating PE special events. MIT Professional Education (PE), under the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and products to serve the continuing educational needs of science and engineering professionals globally.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years of academic administration or business experience; excellent time management, project management, customer service, and interpersonal skills; discretion and sound judgment with confidential and sensitive matters with discretion; ability to resolve problems, but also to determine when senior staff need to be involved; and working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Seek someone who is proactive, organized, flexible, and able to take initiative and perform duties effectively with minimal supervision in a very busy, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment. PREFERRED : Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, and AI tools; and experience at MIT. Job #24241-6
Must be able to travel locally and work some evenings.
