The OPRAS Division seeks a Program Administrator to handle operational activities related to property & casualty insurance.The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and administrative skills, can multi-task, has the ability to work on several projects at the same time and can respond to unforeseen issues.

Your Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Advises on formulation of and implements policy supporting regulatory processes and requirements including the taxation on non-admitted insurance transactions and the registration of miscellaneous property & casualty insurance-related entities.
  • Analyzes applicable statutory requirements for assigned programs.
  • Serves as a liaison between administrators and Treasurer's Office and other Department divisions.
  • Responsible for accurately recording, updating and storage of program information into internal databases.
  • Identify and implement processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepares program correspondence and responds to inquiries regarding program activities.
  • Maintains programs' content on Department website.
The final candidate can expect to be paid at step 1 in the assigned pay range as a new hire, unless otherwise required by legislation or union contract. As a Program Administrator 2, you will receive an increase after six (6) months then an annual step increase until you reach the last step in the pay range. Additionally, there are opportunities for possible annual cost of living (COLA) adjustments and a longevity pay supplement after five (5) years of state service.

Qualifications

4 years training or 4 years experience in business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 years training or 2 years experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 years training or 2 years experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
