Job Summary
The Program Director and Assistant Professor of Business is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students. This role involves teaching a variety of business courses, mentoring students, and participating in curriculum development.
Roane State Community College is a multi-campus comprehensive community college serving an eight-county area in East Tennessee. Job Duties
• Provide leadership for the Business program courses.
• Teach Business classes and serve as Business Chair.
• Advise students.
• Serve as the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), liaison and complete the biennial progress report and a ten-year reaffirmation report for accreditation.
• Serve on college committees and attend college functions as assigned.
• Demonstrate collegiality with all faculty and other campus personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master's degree in business, business administration, business management, finance, financial services, marketing, or management.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience advising students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Work experience in the business environment possibly business ownership community/economic development work experience.
• Management/Administration experience.
