Structural Support Technician II

Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time Structural Support Technician II in San Diego, CA.

Summary: Provide structural support work to our customer related to U.S. Navy ships and vessels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review lifting plans and safety nets for design and testing.
• Perform repairs and inspections on flight deck nets, tie-downs, watertight doors, and lifelines.
• Develop and review weight test memos.
• Support team in solving complex technical problems concerning ship coating, materials, and welds.
• Conduct ship visits to provide technical guidance for repairs, troubleshooting or testing as requested for urgent or routine requests.
• Conduct on-the-job training for Ships Force Maintenance personnel. The training must include adjustments, repairs, troubleshooting techniques and equipment/personnel safety.
• Communicate with and conduct a debrief of cognizant Ships Force personnel reporting conditions found, repairs completed and/or required and training conducted with current operational condition. Any unresolved conditions must be briefed to the ship's Commanding Officer and Chief Engineer with corrections required.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) years' experience related to Navy ship structural support
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

• US Navy Boatswain Mate experience

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $26.07 To $32.30 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience

ADA Notations:

• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight
• Ability to work in office, warehouse, pier side, and shipboard locations.
• Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud, hearing protection may be required at times.
• May be required to go aloft onboard ships to inspect superstructures and enter tanks, voids, and enclosed spaces.
• Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States
