Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

- Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
- Consults with users to refine or adapt methodologies to fit specific research requirements, collaborates in development of new techniques and develops instruments.
- Trains users in techniques, explains and demonstrates instrument capabilities, operations, limitations and outcomes
- Records research procedures and inclusion of subject.
- Determines interview procedures and conducts interviews; collects interview data and participates in data analysis.
- Assists with vetting resources for the Center of Excellence; attends meetings with Center of Excellence staff and technical expert panel.
- Conducts literature reviews and may contribute to or is sole author of articles and grant proposals. Writes summaries of research literature on social media and youth mental health.
- Contribute to design of parenting resources.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor degree in related field, Master preferred.
- 1-3 years-related experience required
- Prior research experience in Pediatrics is required, preferably within Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics
