Summary

The Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced Senior Business Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support to the human resources operations of the Sections of Nephrology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Immunology, Allergy, and Rheumatology. The ideal candidate will provide support to the various HR processes in the Sections including recruitment, on-boarding, credentialing, and off-boarding, and well as develop tools, processes and procedures to track faculty effort, assignments, and allocations across the Sections. This role will work closely with the HR function in the Department of Medicine as well as a liaison with our clinical partners.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after an initial training/onboarding period.

Job Duties

  • Supports the day-to-day Human Resource functions for the Sections in partnership with Section and Department leadership.
  • Develops reports, interpret data, and make recommendations for improvement across the section.
  • Processes personnel related transactions in SuccessFactors and maintain employee records in compliance with College processes and applicable legal requirements.
  • Submits positions for approval through the position management process.
  • Coordinates and conduct new hire orientation. Guide the onboarding process from hire through end of first year of employment. Follow up with all new hires at regular intervals.
  • Provides HR operational knowledge and guidance to employees and managers.
  • Accesses and pull reports related to HR, business, and manager needs.
  • Provides functional knowledge to support and/or inform improvement and efficiency.
  • Supports change initiatives for human resource projects and other business needs.
  • Coordinates meetings, events, and department activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare and or/higher education.
