Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Retrieve and scan Blue Bin supply bins and cards.
• Pick, pack and deliver supplies to Blue Bin Nodes/patient care areas.
• Assure A/B bin rotation on Blue Bin Nodes/patient care areas.
• Check Blue Bin Nodes for expired items.
• Report broken / malfunctioning Blue Bin Node hardware.
• Maintain Blue Bin Stage area/Kanban properly positioned.
• Re-Stock supplies in the Storerooms.
• Assists in maintaining and organizing inventory in the Storerooms.
• Perform functions required in the preparation for physical inventory of the Med Surg./Central Supply stores.
• Identifies activities that the Network has implemented to promote patient safety and take the necessary precaution to ensure a safe environment for patient, visitor and staff.
• All other duties related to stock handling and supply management as the Manager of Med Surg./ Central Supply and/or Associate Director may determine.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
