Service Aide

ROTATING SHIFTS

Job Description
1. Distribute Medical Surgical Supplies and other supplies as needed from BO 11 to patients care areas as assigned, while ensuring that all supplies are removed from corrugated boxes or external shipping containers.
2. Perform accurate refill of storage carts (C-Lockers and Blue Bin) as stated on Par Level Inventory report.
3. Initiate and complete daily inventory via PeopleSoft Scanners of assigned
storage carts.
4. Check daily for expired items on storage carts (C-Lockers and Blue Bin) and in warehouse (BD4-BD 11).
5. Weekly cleaning of storage carts (C-Lockers and Blue Bin), dusting and wiping down racks and shelves as assigned in compliance with infection control standards.
6. Maintain daily Par Level inventory on bulk areas and storage carts (C-Lockers and Blue Bin) in the warehouse.
7. Ensure neatness of bulk supplies and floor stock items in storage area on patient care units.
8. Return daily of any excess exchange carts supplies located on patient care units to bulk warehouse.
9. On daily basis, must provide accurate record keeping of all items issued out to the departments.
10. Maybe assigned to assist in the ordering, restocking and inventorying of surgical supplies in BD4.
11. Dusting of shelves/boxes/cartons and sweeping of floors in bulk areas to ensure compliance

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
