Systems Analyst

Overview

GDC IT Solutions is looking for a Systems Analyst in the Mechanicsburg, PA area.

Position Overview:

This position uses a combination of business and technical skills to analyze, implement, and support solutions to improve performance and efficiency for the appellate case management system and web applications. It works with training and development staff to create and enhance user and technical documentation. It also develops and maintains functional and system specifications for new and existing functionality. This position is responsible for creating clear, concise, testable system requirements to define end-user needs in a manner understandable to the technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Validates application design, collaborates with developers and second-level staff to test new functionality, and reports issues to the developers.
• Analyzes, classifies, and tracks detailed customer requirements and uses them during system and regression testing.
• Works with developers to create detailed functional and technical specifications. Reviews screen, form, and report prototypes against defined requirements.
• Performs analysis and testing tasks to ensure that functionality meets user needs and works with analysts to thoroughly understand problems and issues.
• Participates in design as part of the development/analyst team.
• Validate data and provide metadata updates in support of application requirements working with County Customization.
• Performs second-level support activities to monitor, track, and resolve issues. Conducts analysis for troubleshooting and resolution.
• Assists in analyzing and maintaining user-customizable values, as well as in cleaning up and validating data.
• Works with analysts, developers, and trainers to understand application enhancements to develop testing requirements.
• Develops Use Case Scenarios and test Plans/Cases.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with an IT-related major PLUS
• Three years of professional experience related to systems analysis.
• An equivalent combination of education, experience, and / or training may be considered.

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency with SQL is preferred.
• Satisfactory criminal background check required.
