Accounts Payable Specialist

Solomon Page has partnered with a well established corporation in the Oil and Gas field seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounts payable and experience working in the oil and gas industry. This onsite contract position is based in Houston, TX. It offers opportunities for career growth and the chance to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team.

• Location: Houston, TX, onsite
• Contract (long-term)
• Pay Range: $24 - $28/hr
• Starts: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and accounting, to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with large ERP accounting systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
