Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform moderately difficult and responsible administrative work to support patient care and departmental operations in Bellevue's Cancer Center, Ambulatory Care Mezzanine and 48.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILTY:
1. Provide administrative management at the Cancer Center mezzanine front desk

a.Coordinate with RNs, PCAs, providers, and clerks to ensure efficient clinic flow and excellent patient experience
Provide guidance to clerks and out-take PCAs about appointments and other issues that arise Answer patient questions and provide assistance, de escalate encounters as needed

d. Bring issues to Cancer Center coordinating manager or administrator when necessary
2. Schedule Cancer Center patient appointments to ensure timely response to provider and patient requests, and referrals
a.Call patients with appointment information, using interpreter as needed
b.Mail reminder letter

C.Make reminder calls for some appointments, as requested
3. Take primary responsibility for reviewing on Epic messages from Contact Center and Staff Messages a.
Follow up as needed on Epic messages (call patients, (re)schedule appointments, contact providers); escalate to Coordinating Manager & when necessary
4. Cover scheduling BE ONCOLOGY CC scheduling work queue, in the absence of Coordinating Manager

  1. Schedule new patient appointments following attendings' guidance via e-consult
  2. Forward via Epic message non-e-consult referrals to attending for triage and scheduling guidance
  3. . Contact patients with appointment date/time and instructions as needed

5. Act as designated requisitioner for the Cancer Center

d.maintain par stock of supplies
e.Initiate requisitions

i. Receive items/services ordered
6. Submit and follow up on 1FIX tickets related to Environmental Services, IT, Telecommunications, Facilities, Biomed, etc., to support patient safety and an appropriate environment of care.

a. Submit and track needed work and tickets to ensure timely resolution
