Job Description

  • Perform responsible clerical work in various administrative and operational areas by checking and maintaining records and files.
  • Provide telephone customer service and access Public Announcement systems.
  • Operates Console (AmCom/Medical Operator console & Cisco Phone 7965).
  • Operate a telephone call directory, multi-phone lines. Responsible for internal and external calls, placing a call, answering a call, placing a call on hold, transfer calls, park calls, forward calls and conference a call and access the directory. Perform routine check daily with the operations of Cisco devices and Public Announcement System.
  • Maintain a log book to closely monitor the daily activities of the department and document those activities and events with pertinent information.
  • Operates the access 3000 paging system and responsible for contacting key personnel.
  • Provide notification of patient status to family and friends by sending telegrams electronically.
  • Responsible for activating emergency procedures upon notification.


Minimum Qualifications

  • A four-year High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
  • Preferred experience as a Telephone Operator in a Health Care setting or related industry.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
