Job Description
1. Serve as direct supervisor for clerical staff on Maternal Child Health. Provide orientation/re-orientation/training/cross-training as needed collaborating with other supervisors. Completes all supporting paperwork.
2. Develops monthly schedules, daily work schedules, coordinates vacation and other time off coverage. Monitor staff performance, attendance, and punctuality. Completes staff evaluations in a timely manner.
3. Provides opportunities for education and development for staff with OSD.
4. Performs moderately difficult and responsible clerical work in maintain the medical record (paper and electronic) including data entry.
5. Collaborates with Nursing for admissions and discharges. Make appointments for follow-up as requested by physician/midwife. Coordinates ancillary testing and transfers.
6. Maintains an orderly and safe workplace and up-to-date bulletin boards.
7. Requisitions supplies from PeopleSoft, Central Supply, Vanguard, etc. and follow ups on requests.
8. Reports shortages to Administrator and Nursing.
9. Reports malfunctioning or broke equipment to proper entity always removing the item from service.
10. Greets patients/families/visitors/in a pleasant and respectful manner.
11. Displays kindness and compassion when assisting staff or visitors unfamiliar with the area.
12. Escalate patient/family/visitor/staff concerns to Administrator if unable to resolve.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
