Job Description

Purpose of Position:

Clerical-related office activities utilizing manual and automated office systems; duties may include generating identification cards of employees/residents/HHC personnel. All personnel perform related work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generate employee Identification cards for employees/residents/HHC personnel.
  • Ensure and verify the identity of the person receiving ID through various forms of identification such as NYS-issued picture ID, Passport, and Medicaid card.
  • Production and Processing of Employee ID Cards.
  • Verify employment through the Human resource terminal.
  • Screen all questionable items with human resources via phone before issuing ID. and notify the Hospital Police supervisor of same.
  • Prepare reports containing volume IDs issued and supplied required.
  • Check Lincoln-issued e-mails periodically to update employee status.
  • Issue ID Card Access to Authorized Staff.
  • Maintain the highest level of Integrity with confidential information.
  • Perform systems checks to verify employee records from Human Resources.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and designee.
  • Update Employee Status in the ID System
  • Maximizes internal/external security systems capabilities by studying technical applications and making recommendations.
  • Resolves issues representing staff-generated requests or problems and troubleshoots technical and process issues to maintain productivity.
  • Evaluates vendor-supplied software/equipment by studying user objectives and testing compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
  • Documents hardware and software issues/updates.
  • Gathers data to identify and evaluate technical matters.
  • Tracks and Monitors all vendor-related requests/installations/repairs.
  • Perform routine clerical functions such as filing, answering telephones, delivering mail, faxing documents, photocopying, etc..
  • Perform clerical tasks of more than moderate difficulty including typing.
  • Is responsible for photocopying, filing, and distributing typing tasks.
  • Performs work or related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
