Under the general direction of the Senior Engineer working in the Engineering, Planning & Implementation Unit of the Riverine Habitat Restoration Section (RHR), the incumbent provides operations and maintenance support for the Department of Water Resources' (DWR) State Water Project (SWP) facilities in the Yolo Bypass including Wallace Weir Fish Rescue Facility, Adult Fish Passage Project, and Yolo Bypass Salmonid Habitat Restoration and Fish Passage Project.

Must possess a valid California Driver License in order to drive to various sites and attend meetings. Must be able to work alone in remote areas under adverse conditions during some weekends and holidays. Has reviewed work of others, especially work related to technical, habitat restoration, or hydraulic infrastructure.
  • Has experience with Hydraulic modeling, civil engineering, reviewing of engineering products, best practices in planning O&M tasks, construction of projects, experience in the field, experience supporting project design/construction.
