The Department of Water Resources' Modeling Support Branch's Delta Modeling Section is seeking qualified candidates who can solve complex challenges associated with Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta (the Delta) and beyond.

In the Delta Modeling Planning Applications Unit, you will work collaboratively under the guidance of senior engineers performing engineering activities related to the Delta, for example:

• Helping to craft and execute studies involving Delta infrastructure, the environment, project operations, and climate change,
• Developing and improving numerical/statistical/mathematical/machine learning models, novel methods of analysis and computer programs,
• Preparing technical reports and manuscripts that advance topics pertinent to water project operations and Delta stewardship,
• Reviewing research and documents and communicating engineering research results to stakeholders and management.

We collaborate with industry-leading experts to develop/maintain/apply state-of-art tools and data so that we can understand the Delta better and support science-based decision making.
