    What we need YOU to do:

    The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be the newest financial manager in our Fiscal Office, working at our Central Office in downtown Columbus.

    Here's the scoop.

    As Ohio EPA's financial manager, you will coordinate and manage all financial operations for the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance (DEFA), the Division of Material and Waste Management (DMWM), and the Office of Environmental Innovation (OEI). This includes creating and approving statistical reports and financial statements, as well as directing distribution of funds into accounts. You'll provide oversite of abatement functions funded through the Scrap Tire Management fund and review proposed legislation and policy changes to determine their impact.

    Additionally, you'll prepare, maintain, and oversee the preparation of records, reports, studies, and correspondence related to fiscal operations, cash projects, and federal grant budgets. You'll prepare the biennium budget for DEFA, DMWM, and OEI, maintaining regular contact with the U. S. EPA, fiscal staff, and auditors to ensure acceptance of grant awarded budgets, revisions, and audits.

    You'll make recommendations to Ohio EPA division chiefs concerning budgetary activities, policies, and procedures, while also interpreting relevant procedural regulations and Agency policies. You'll act as the fiscal liaison with other agencies, boards, and offices regarding funding, monitoring, and personnel needs. Lastly, you'll get to supervise personnel associated with financial functions, and act on behalf of the division chiefs at meetings related to administrative and fiscal operations.

    Qualifications

    66 mos. exp. or 66 mos. trg. financial administration.

    -Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in financial administration.

    -Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.

    -Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Program Manager, 66585.

    -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
