Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Land Development Project Manager to join our Charlotte, NC office. This position requires a professional with a strong background in Land Development and at least 6 years of industry experience, demonstrating a history of positive client relationships and successful project management. The Project Manager will deliver outstanding client service through the effective management of Land Development projects and will collaborate with various professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes for both private and public sector clients.
Essential Functions:
Project Management:
- Report to the NC Land Development Practice Leader.
- Manage Land Development projects for a variety of private and public clients.
- Actively participate in departmental and company meetings.
- Mentor junior staff and manage team members.
- Promote corporate and departmental policies and foster a teamwork environment.
- Assist the NC LD Practice Leader with budgeting, hiring decisions, and keeping up with industry innovations and regulatory trends.
Project Design:
- Lead the design of Land Development projects, ensuring quality across all tasks performed by the LD team.
- Assign LD personnel to project teams, monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
- Conduct technical reviews of project documents.
- Supervise engineers, senior designers, designers, junior designers, Civil Analysts, and CAD Technicians within the LD group.
Compliance and Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work conforms to applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from a 4-5 year ABET-accredited engineering program. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Six (6) or more years of direct professional experience in Land Development.
- Valid NC Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to engage multiple perspectives, and a commitment to reciprocal learning among team members.

Preferred:
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of scheduling platforms is a plus.

- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Focus on quality and ability to perform quality control reviews.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Capability to work independently, manage a team, and efficiently schedule and manage time.
