SQL Database Team Lead

Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Team Lead to oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our critical database systems to help support the RITS program.

Job Duties:

• Manage and mentor a team of database administrators.
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
• Ensure SLA's, KPI's, POAMS, Incident tickets, and aging tickets are managed per guidelines.
• Mange SOP review, modification, creation, and submission to the PAL. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MS SQL database environment.
• Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Ensure high availability (multi-node Clusters) and disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Over-see STIG'ing, System Security Plans (SSP), and Patching.
• Ensure database performance and timely troubleshooting of issues.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years of experience; four years of experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with managing and mentoring a team of database administrators.
• Experience with assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring team performance.
• Experience with ensure SLA's, KPI's, POAMS, Incident tickets, and aging tickets are managed per guidelines.

Required Security Clearance:

• An interim clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance
• Must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell). Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Certifications in MS SQL Server. Knowledge of cloud-based database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
