Aquent is in search for a Technical Senior Scrum Master to join our client's Cloud Engineering & Operations team in Cloud Services. This position will be focused on delivering onboarding and guidance, and management to teams that are leveraging the public cloud along with partnering with other IT teams.

The ideal candidate enjoys fast-paced environment, thrives under ambiguity and embraces change passionately. Ideal candidate has experience with Public Cloud Migration, Scaled Agile Framework and experience within Financial Services.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing all task activities assigned to the Scrum team are performed in a timely manner with minimal technical debt, while maintaining the highest quality of performance.
  • Will interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Will lead Scrum team(s) to perform planning, development and testing on a large software development, automation, vendor and platform mangement.
  • Conduct all Scrum-related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective and client demos.
  • Interface with product owners on an active basis to manage product backlog and sprint activities.
  • Remove obstacles and manage risks to enable team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all scrum activities are tracked and kept up-to-date and reported on a daily basis.
  • Must have experience managing software development projects, preferable managing or performing software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach.
  • PMI-ACP, Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) or Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred.
  • Ability to apply scrum estimation techniques to software development efforts, strong leadership and organizational skills with excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, project planning, people and team building skills.

Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience leading technical scrum teams.
  • Expertise in delivering high-quality .NET or Java-based web applications.
  • Proficient in facilitating Scrum practices, including leading ceremonies and team coaching.
  • Strong technical background across multiple domains, platforms (e.g., mainframe, web-based, PCF), and databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Previous experience as a Technical Lead, providing mentorship and support.
  • Familiarity with the financial, trading, or brokerage services industry is a plus.
  • Proven ability to remove impediments and facilitate decision-making in time-critical situations.
  • Skilled in leading teams to maintain or improve delivery velocity.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) or similar.
  • Deep understanding of Agile Development Practices, iterative development, and Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all management levels.
  • Experience in scoping, sizing, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects, managing risk, and serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, lean methodologies, QA practices, and the full software development life cycle.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $75 houly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
