Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provide project management and quality improvement support to SUD Acute Care services located within H+H facilities such as: Hot-spotting and BH 2.0 Inpatient (Co-Occurring Disorders)
  2. Provide consultation and operational support to existing SUD specialty services, such as: Child and Adolescent, Virtual ExpressCare - Behavioral Health, and SHOW
  3. Develop SUD Acute Care service programmatic, electronic medical record (EMR), and billing workflows, overseeing implementation/optimization within various H+H SUD Acute Care service areas
  4. Facilitate SUD Acute Care service workgroup meetings with facility/service leads, including agenda setting and project next steps
  5. Oversee Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation optimization to support SUD Acute Care Service workflows
  6. Oversee the recruitment and tracking of vacant SUD Acute Care service lines, including Peer Counselors, Clinicians (Social Workers, Addiction Counselors, and Mental Health Counselors), and Medical Providers
  7. Responsible for the development and reporting out of SUD Acute Care Service data/metrics to stakeholders/funders
  8. Support SUD Acute Care budget modification processes, working closely with the OBH Director of Fiscal Affairs to fulfill requests
  9. Collaborate with SUD Acute Care service leads, including OBH Director of Fiscal Affairs, Central Office Revenue Cycle and PhyCare colleagues to reconcile SUD Acute Care service billing and revenue discrepancies
  10. Participate in behavioral health/SUD departmental and interdepartmental meetings
  11. Provide project management support on additional SUD projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor or departmental leadership
  12. All Other duties, as needed


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related discipline and three (3) years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above and four (4) years of full-time experience, as outlined in "1" above, two (2) years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Department Preferences

  • Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health field issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) preferred
  • 4 years of experience in the human services field
  • Project management experience
  • 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health services preferred
  • Hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations. Knowledge of principles of business and personnel administration, management functions and support service functions
