Under the general supervision of a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent performs the less complex work related to building maintenance and repair. The responsibilities of this position include: assist general repair of various building fixtures and equipment, assist general repairs of offices, the Materials Lab, and common areas including but not limited to conference rooms, corridors, lobbies, break rooms, and restrooms.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Building Maintenance Worker exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
