Under the direction of the Chief of Human Resources in the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), the Office Technician (Typing) is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative, clerical, and general office support, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, arranging travel, preparing travel claims, collecting and submitting monthly HR reports, reviewing HR correspondence, answering telephone calls, maintaining the chief's calendar, and ordering supplies. The incumbent's role is critical in maintaining confidential files, correspondence, and tracking spreadsheets within the Human Resources Office (HRO).

The Office Technician works 40 hours per week in a building with artificial light and temperature control. The incumbent must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
