TELEWORK

Staff who work in the Austin Metro will work in-office for one day, every other week, for a collaboration day as well as on an as-needed basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience maintaining and updating internet web sites using code, content management, site analysis and design.
  • Experience creating and updating accessible Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF documents to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Create and maintain the Texas Voluntary Marginal Conventional Well (TXMCW) public facing website through code, content management, site analysis and design. Documents website and application changes. Review information to be posted on web sites, works with Federal Grants Section staff to format and develop content, review and ensure the completeness and accuracy of content. Ensure content conforms to agency standards, including accessibility. Track usage statistics and follows up on error reports.
  • Enhance architecture of new web site(s)/application(s); writes new code and features. Perform accessibility compliance testing, to include revising code and/or layout as necessary to ensure compliance. Plan, coordinate and manage multiple projects as assigned using project plans, deliverables, documentation, milestones and other tools or resources to achieve outcomes within established deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the Federal Grants Section Systems Analyst to create and maintain web-based project reporting tools. Perform data quality assurance and control to ensure reports reflect a high-level of accuracy and consistency. Provide back-up support to the Systems Analyst on the creation and maintenance of a web-based database to track project data.
  • Complete special projects as assigned including research, preparing special reports, and giving presentations.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Webmaster Certification, plus two (2) years of full-time experience in web design, web development, or web programming/coding.


OR

  • Four (4) years of full-time experience in web design, web development, or web programming/coding.


OR

  • A bachelor's degree with 12 semester hours in computer science, web design, web development, or web programming/coding from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in web design, web development, or web programming/coding.


OR

Completion of 30 semester hours (600 clock hours) in computer science, web design, web development, or web programming/coding from a licensed vocational, technical, business, or accredited college, plus three (3) years of full-time experience in web design, web development, or web programming/coding.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES

This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Web Administrator III state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Web Administrator III series.
