Job Description:

The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Florida is looking for a dynamic and motivated Federal Work-Study student to join our Undergraduate Student Services Office. As a key member of our team, you'll:
  • Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome visitors with a friendly smile and assist with their inquiries.
  • Manage the Lobby: Ensure the smooth operation of the office by managing the lobby and directing students to the appropriate campus units.
  • Answer Calls: Handle phone inquiries and provide general information to students and visitors.
  • Assist with outreach: Facilitate communication and outreach efforts.
  • Support additional administrative duties as needed: For example, conduct data entry and assist with event logistics.
Expected Salary:

$15 per hour

Minimum Requirements:
  • UF Student in Good Standing: You must be a current University of Florida student.
  • FWS Program Eligibility: You must qualify for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written) are essential as you'll be interacting with a diverse group of people.
  • Attention to Detail: Your organizational skills will help maintain the efficiency of our office.
  • Experience & Flexibility: Ideally, you are a sophomore or above, with the flexibility to manage your work schedule around your classes.
