Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics, Endocrinology Division is actively accepting applications from Federal Work Study Students for a part-time Student Assistant position. Successful candidate will be detail oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Subject assessment for eligibility for testing, recruitment, obtaining informed consent, review of study data, and pertinent history for protocol adherence, collecting / receiving specimens, processing of specimens as needed and
shipping of specimens.
2. Assembling supply kits and participant visit materials as needed for various subject appointments related to the visit type and study/tests.
3. Preparing charts by assembling orders and study documents for scheduled visits, preparing and processing eCRF (Case Report Forms).
4. Obtaining informed consent for local and remote participants.
5. Reviewing, updating, and logging study related research data.
6. Preparing, mailing, and tracking testing kits.
7. Receiving, entering, and tracking specimens from local screening, remote kits, and events.
8. Administrative tasks such as organizing, copying, collating, and mailing marketing materials.
9. Ordering and stocking supplies.
10. Assisting with preparation for screening events and attending screening events (JDRF Walks, Diabetes Camps, etc.) throughout the year.
11. Other duties may be assigned.

Advertised Salary:

$12.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Federal Work Study award is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
