Job Summary

The Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners is a state agency dedicated to the protection of the public through regulation of chiropractic practice. This position exists to provide customer service functions, support the continuing education coordinator, support the licensing coordinator, and provide administrative support as needed. This includes:
  • Answering phone calls and greeting and assisting visitors.
  • Handling mail.
  • Assisting in preparing deposits.
  • Verifying and entering data; scanning and filing documents.
  • Providing administrative support for Continuing Education Coordinator by reviewing applications for accuracy, performing data entry, and generating correspondence.
  • Providing administrative support for Licensing Coordinator by assisting in processing applications for licensure, registration, or renewals.
  • Provide other administrative and clerical support to MBCE staff as requested.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of communication sufficient to perform the job duties described above, using reading, writing and speaking skills.
  • Knowledge of current data entry procedures.
  • Data entry skills sufficient to read source documents and enter data into specific data fields.
  • Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail.
  • Keyboarding/typing skill, using Microsoft Word or equivalent software, sufficient to produce memos, form letters and correspondence in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to compute basic math sufficient to generate cash receipts, verify totals and prepare a daily deposit.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of workplace equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Technical aptitude to learn agency specific software programs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow specific protocols.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
