Job Summary

Under general supervision, this position processes and maintains records within the agency's Docuware system. This position supports the PERA agency, the Account Information Management division and the Central Support Services staff by converting existing microfiche to an electronic document management system and fulfilling daily requests for microfiche conversion. This position is also responsible for prepping mail for scanning, document scanning and verifying documents after scanning.

This position will work in the PERA St. Paul, MN office.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Data entry/database management skills sufficient to accurately enter data, maintain database, and effectively retrieve information from multiple databases
  • Language skills sufficient to speak, read, write, understand and respond to written and spoken communications
  • Typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to check completed work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format
  • Move items weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using optical scanning technology
  • Experience with proofreading and quality assurance
  • Experience with Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) or MN State Retirement Systems (MSRS) data systems
  • Knowledge of the provisions of Minnesota Government Data Practices

Physical Requirements

Requires daily lifting of items weighing up to 25 pounds such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others, and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. Requires reaching and squatting to retrieve files. May also need to sit for long periods.
