Job Description

  • Diagnostic evaluations of Pride/OPC patients
    • Conduct mental health (MH) diagnostic evaluations of Pride/OPC patients who have screened positive for symptoms and have indicated interest in certification and/or treatment.
    • Document diagnostic evaluations in Pride/OPC, as well as Pride Database application in a timely fashion.
    • Attend weekly MH team clinical conference to discuss appropriate disposition plans.
    • Coordinate any necessary care with other Pride/OPC providers (medical, psychiatric) and with any relevant community providers.
    • Coordinate with Pride/OPC administrator regarding no show and diagnostic rescheduling needs.
  • Treatment of Pride Program-certified and OPC patients
    • Provide individual psychotherapy for LGBTQI+ conditions.
    • Provide group psychotherapy for LGBTQI+ conditions.
    • Complete required documentation for all encounters within 24 hours.
    • Coordinate care with other providers for patients in ongoing psychotherapy including psychopharmacology, medical appointments, yearly monitoring with Pride/OPC medical providers.
    • Assist patients with psychosocial needs when possible, coordinating connections with Pride/OPC social work staff.
    • Maintain Excel file of all Pride-Certified/OPC patients in active treatment.
    • Maintain updated Outlook calendar of scheduled patient sessions and inform administrative staff of any changes in a timely manner.
    • Discuss patient progress and treatment needs in weekly psychologist group supervision.
  • Screening/Monitoring of Pride/OPC patients
    • Review patient chart (if applicable), perform encounter, document appropriately in EMR.
    • Enter mental health screening/monitoring questionnaire in any required databases.
    • Attend weekly disposition meetings and discuss any relevant patient cases.
    • Make all necessary database updates (disposition tracking, diagnostic evaluation scheduling/resolution.
    • Coordinate with on-site Pride/OPC providers including medical, psychiatry, etc.
    • Coordinate with Pride/OPC administrator, Mental health Director, Pride team, and other mental health and clinical staff.
  • Meeting Attendance
    • Attend any other relevant Pride/OPC clinical, administrative meetings.
    • Attend all weekly MH team meetings for disposition of evaluations and of screenings/monitorings
    • Attend all monthly clinic wide meetings including CE-accredited Pride/OPC join medical/mental health conference and all-staff huddles.
    • Attend weekly psychologist group supervision and individual supervision with mental health director as needed.
  • Bellevue Psychology Intern Supervision
    • Supervise Bellevue Psychology Internship Program interns for Bellevue Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic and/or Pride Clinic patient cases.
  • Other
    • Participate in QI programs
    • Participate toward meeting relevant clinic needs, e.g. staff didactics, assisting with emergent patient needs.


Minimum Qualifications
1. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED; and
2. Two (2) years of post-licensure experience, one (1) year of which must have been post-licensure supervisory experience; or three (3) years of post-licensure experience; and
3. Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three (3) months of appointment.
