TELEWORK

Staff who work in the Austin Metro will work in-office for one day, every other week, for a collaboration day as well as on an as-needed basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience reviewing financial documents including invoices and proof of payment documentation.
  • Experience determining the eligibility of costs under a grant or contract.
  • Experience working with government entities, industry representatives, or private companies to obtain technical information and/or provide technical assistance.
  • Experience working with Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS).
  • Experience preparing and reviewing grant or contract budgets.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Review highly complex reimbursement request submitted by grantees and ensure that request are processed accurately, within established timeframes, in compliance with appropriate agency and program guidelines and policies, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of grant contracts.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Texas Voluntary Marginal Conventional Well(TXMCW) contracts and corresponding scopes of work and budgets. Perform data entry into the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) and internal databases/tracking sheets.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of financial processes and procedures to safeguard the award of funds under the TXMCW program. Drafts standard operating procedures and guidance related to the reimbursement process. May peers review the work of others to ensure compliance with established standard operating procedures and guidance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for processing grant payments for the Federal Grants Section. Provide general and technical support to grantees and their designated project representative regarding the preparation and submission of reimbursement request.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on the status of reimbursement requests and compiles information in response to grantee, management, or legislative inquiries.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, economics, business, public administration, or a related field, plus three years of full-time experience in lending, credit analysis, financial analysis, budget analysis, or financial regulatory work. Completion of an internship in the areas listed may substitute for six months of the required experience.


OR

  • Certification as a public accountant (CPA) plus two years of full-time experience in lending, credit analysis, financial analysis, or financial regulatory work.
